I think that even if they were not planning on doing photoshopped pictures, this one would be an exception to the rule because of it's sheer awesomeness.
The rule was made mostly so I wouldn't photoshop myself doing the face with Allen Greenspan. My thinking- that if we want those pictures we should go get Greenspan to take a picture with us. The Busey thing is great, clearly shopped. The rule doesnt apply to it... All the rules bend a little anyway.
